A close friend of mine, William Clark, has gotten quite close to my son, Jean Baptiste. He calls him "Pompy" or "Pomp" on account of his spry nature. He is a healthy young boy that brings a smile to many. Clark has offered to become his god-father. I accepted. Clark has also promised an education for little Pomp. I think it is a wonderful idea, as Charbonneau cares not much of a good education. But it is not like we have the money to provide one, either. I thank my friend for his generosity.
